A documentary by Jiří Burýšek (Jirka Explains Things) that maps the role of Czechoslovak uranium in the development of the first Soviet atomic bomb. It shows the brutal conditions in uranium mines and camps where the communist regime forced political prisoners to mine for the Soviet Union, and follows the stories of specific people who were forced to work there.
After the screening, there will be a discussion with Jirka and an informal gathering in the bar above the cinema.
