post-hudba: Album Release + Člověk krve
Prague duo post-hudba celebrates the release of their self-titled acoustic album on September 25 at MeetFactory, featuring reworked arrangements of their earlier songs. The album marks the band's fifteenth anniversary and comes with a songbook documenting all sixty songs written by Dominik Zezula and Tomáš Havlen for post-hudba.
The album was released digitally on the independent label Bad Names. The duo describes it as new songs with old lyrics - an idea born from Christmas gatherings where they began returning to older compositions with just guitars and minimal effects. "So that someone listening to this album who doesn't know the original versions would feel that this is how they were meant to sound from the beginning," says singer and lyricist Dominik Zezula. The songbook will be available at the release event. The evening also launches the band's autumn acoustic tour.
Folk singer-songwriter Jan Senft performs as a guest with his project Člověk krve, drawing from traditional Czech folk songwriting with inspiration from folklore, history, and nature. His gentle guitar sound accompanies poetic and fairy-tale-like lyrics infused with historical references and expressions from classical literature.
