Nová vlna

We cannot today - except in dreams - take a walk through the streets of Paris as they looked in 1959: stroll along the boulevards, explore the maze of metro stations, sit in cafes and notice that right here, right now, some film is being shot. A film we already know - Breathless.

Nová vlna is one American's attempt to fulfill his own long-held dream and offer everyone who hasn't let their twenty-year-old self die to dream it along with him. It could have been an interesting experiment. Something better came of it: one of the most beautiful films of the twenty-first century so far - not nostalgia for cinephiles, but an ode to joy for everyone.
