Tragedy of Liblice
Vzlet, Prague · Poslední vstupenky
An amplified mystery thriller that merges Vosto5's distinctive theatrical poetry with espionage-thriller intrigue and pulp crime television.
Radio technicians, after the end of nationwide broadcasting on medium wave, travel to the village of Liblice, where Central Europe's largest terrestrial transmitter stands. It should be passive - yet remote measurements show it is still transmitting and receiving. What, to whom, and why? An experienced team of radio operators must venture into the field, unraveling the mystery of the airwaves, the connection of spacetimes, and the flow of energies, and quite by accident stumble upon a fascinating discovery.
Since its inception, Vosto5 has made no secret of its fascination with everything related to radio broadcasting - partly from nostalgia and fetishism, partly because radio as a medium places special demands on the imagination. Throughout its history, the company has created numerous plays that utilize, transform, and examine radio as a communication and artistic medium for theatrical language (Compartment in the Forest, Proton, and others).
