A romantic comedy about love and fate follows the story of a young advertising copywriter (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who has been searching in vain for the girl of his dreams. When Summer Finn (Zooey Deschanel) appears at his workplace, she seems like she could be the one - but 500 days of their unconventional relationship will reveal that the path to happiness is unpredictable. One of them is an incurable dreamer and the other a modern cynic.
