Long Live the Ghosts!

The film story "Long Live the Ghosts!" comes to the theatre stage in a production by the Fairy Tale Theatre. This is not a film adaptation - it is a new show that combines classic storytelling with modern theatrical form and appeals to audiences of all ages.

The action takes place in the old castle Brtník, which faces conversion into a mushroom farm. The trader Jouza has a plan, the local group of children has objections - and the castle has ghosts. On stage appear the knight Vilém Brtník of Brtník and his daughter Leontýnka, who call upon sprites for help. Alongside the struggle to save the castle unfolds a story of first love: a daisy given by Long Jenda can break a curse and transform Leontýnka into a living girl.

The entire performance is accompanied by songs by Svěrák and Uhlíř - including "The Forester is Master of the Forest", "Call the Guards", "In Our Ruin Haunts", "Stuffed Mushrooms" and "Spring of Health from Posázaví".
