Art&Play - Botanical Illustration

A creative workshop focused on observing plants and flowers and creating botanical illustrations inspired by drawings from encyclopedias. Each participant will carefully study their chosen plant and capture its distinctive features so that it is easily recognizable in the finished drawing.

Children will bring their own plant to the workshop, which they will work on artistically during the programme.

This workshop is part of the ART & PLAY cycle - the autumn semester of Art is not Science!, which runs from 20 September 2026 to 24 January 2027, every other Sunday in the Villa Pellé gallery. The cycle of eight meetings explores connections between art and science - from microscopes and optical illusions to the world of plants.

Practical information:
- Workshop duration: 90 minutes.
- Suitable for children aged 7 to 13 without parental supervision.
- Takes place in the Villa Pellé Gallery clubroom.
- All tools and materials are included in the ticket price.
- We recommend bringing appropriate clothing and a drink.
