The Amplified Acoustic Band is a Prague-based ensemble led by English composer, singer and guitarist Jamie Marshall, blending blues, folk and soul influences. The band features six accomplished musicians from the Czech live and studio scene. Their repertoire consists of Jamie's original compositions and cover versions arranged in the band's distinctive style.

At Jazz Dock, the AAB performs in an expanded seven-piece lineup. The core four-member group is joined by saxophonists Andy Schofield and Suzanne Higgins - both well known to Jazz Dock audiences, also playing clarinet and flute - and keyboardist and vocalist Amy Sauve from Detroit.

About the venue: Jazz Dock

Jazz Dock is a design jazz club opened in 2009 on the banks of the Vltava river in Prague's Smíchov district, opposite Children's Island. It regularly hosts concerts of jazz, funk, soul, blues and world music, as well as its own festivals. The interior was designed by architects Ivan Sládek and Jaroslav Ourecký; a rooftop terrace is open in summer. The venue also includes a bar and restaurant.

About: Andy Schofield

Andy Schofield is a jazz saxophonist active on the Czech jazz scene. He collaborates with leading Czech jazz musicians, including bassist František Uhlíř as part of the František Uhlíř Team. His playing is marked by a modern jazz sensibility and a chamber-music approach to improvisation.
