Composers' Concert of the Polívka Brothers

A concert celebrating the original compositions of brothers Jan, Václav, and Jiří Polívka, featuring chamber music for children's and adult voices with instrumental accompaniment. Several works will be heard for the first time, while others are performed only rarely.

Conductor and pianist Jan Polívka leads the programme, bringing together Czech and German musicians - professionals, amateurs, and young singers - alongside a chamber instrumental ensemble. Jan Polívka's music explores lyrical expression and vocal colours, while Václav Polívka's work draws from folk traditions and reflects contemporary musical influences. The programme also includes compositions by Jiří Polívka, performed with young singers, particularly from the Mifun choir.
