Czech Fairy Tale

A concert celebrating Czech fairy tale music, featuring cellist Petr Nouzovský and accordionist Ladislav Horák with spoken commentary.

Czech fairy tale productions - puppet, theatrical, and animated - have always placed great emphasis on music. The programme includes the concert suite "The Little Mermaid" by Zdeněk Liska, arranged by Jára Novák, variations from the works of Vadim Petrov including his "Krkonoše Fairy Tales" arranged by Jiří Pazour, and the suite "The Key of Saint Peter" by David Solař from the fairy tale of the same name, broadcast by Czech Television on Christmas Eve 2023.

The programme will be complemented by music from world film stories.
