Zdeněk Jirotka (1911–2003) was a Czech writer and humorist. He is best known for his novel Saturnin (1942), a comic story about a resourceful dog and his absent-minded owner, which became one of the most beloved Czech books of the 20th century. The novel has been reprinted many times and adapted for stage and screen.
