Zach Grenier is an American character actor born in Englewood, New Jersey, whose career spans film, television and stage since the late 1980s. He is widely recognized as Edward Norton's stone-faced boss in Fight Club (1999) and as attorney David Lee across seven seasons of The Good Wife (CBS, 2010-2016) and its spinoff The Good Fight. On Broadway he earned a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Beethoven in 33 Variations (2009), opposite Jane Fonda.
Grenier appeared in the French-American drama Her Song (directed by John M. Keller, produced by James Ivory), which had its world premiere as the opening film of the Cinequest festival in San Jose on March 10, 2026.
Grenier was cast in the anniversary 40th summer season of New York Stage and Film at Marist University in Poughkeepsie.
Grenier participated in a scene reading from Ibsen's play An Enemy of the People at Times Square, which was jointly organized by Theater of War Productions and the environmental movement Extinction Rebellion.
