Woundead Knee are a Prague-based heavy-hardcore band whose members come from various Czech and Slovak cities, including Teplice and Prešov. Their name references the historical Wounded Knee massacre, and their sound sits at the intersection of heavy-hardcore, Japan-style thrash and power violence. Active since around 2009, they have released several split EPs and a retrospective compilation.
Woundead Knee performed on July 20, 2025 at the Prague Club Time Out at a joint concert with the grind-violence band Locura from Česká Třebová.
The band participated in Pallasit Fest 2024 in Zruč nad Sázavou alongside foreign bands such as Jigsore Puzzle (Germany) and Sanko Sakusen (Poland).
In May 2023, Woundead Knee performed at the Prague Brouk club at an event with the Brazilian band Crua, where they were labeled as 'japan trash/power violence'.
