Woody Vasulka, born Bohuslav Vasulka in 1937 in Brno, is a Czech pioneer of video art and experimental film. He studied at FAMU before emigrating to the United States, where he and his wife Steina Vasulka co-founded the influential New York arts space The Kitchen. His work explores the intersection of image, sound and electronic technology.
