William Shatner (born March 22, 1931, in Montreal) is a Canadian actor, author, director, and recording artist whose career spans more than seven decades. He became a global icon as Captain James T. Kirk in Star Trek (1966-1969) and seven feature films, then won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for his role as eccentric lawyer Denny Crane in The Practice and Boston Legal. In October 2021, at age 90, he became the oldest person to fly to space aboard Blue Origin's NS-18.
Shatner announced a fall 2026 tour with live performances following screenings of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan in American cities including Madison, Joliet, Indianapolis, and Louisville.
At age 94, Shatner gave an extensive interview to the On The Red Carpet ICONS program, in which he spoke about his spaceflight and mentioned work on a new personal album.
His new album Where Will the Animals Sleep? was released, aimed at a children's audience - the tenth studio album of Shatner's music career.
On October 13, 2021, at age 90, Shatner became the oldest person to fly to space, aboard the Blue Origin NS-18 rocket.
