Vundabar is an American indie rock trio from Boston, Massachusetts, active since 2012. The band comprises vocalist and guitarist Brandon Hagen, drummer Drew McDonald, and bassist Zack Abramo. Built on years in Boston's DIY circuit, they broke through to a mass audience when their 2015 track "Alien Blues" went viral on TikTok in late 2021, racking up over half a billion Spotify streams and a platinum certification. Their sixth album, Surgery and Pleasure, followed in March 2025.
In March 2026, Vundabar released a deluxe edition of the album Surgery and Pleasure with five new singles, including the single "Death Punch".
On March 7, 2025, the sixth studio album Surgery and Pleasure was released, which critics praised for its new electronic elements and the band's retained post-punk sound.
In spring 2025, Vundabar conducted a North American tour in support of the album Surgery and Pleasure.
In fall 2024, Vundabar conducted a North American tour and released the single "I Got Cracked".
In March 2022, Vundabar performed on the American late-night show Late Night with Seth Meyers, where they played the viral hit "Alien Blues".
