Vtoroi Ka are a duo from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, formed in 2017 by childhood friends Ilya Semenov and Sultan Botobaev. Starting out in hip-hop, they broke through with their third album Piggy Ride (2024), a post-punk-inflected record that pushed them past 200,000 monthly Spotify listeners in under a year. They handle all production, lyrics and mixing themselves, and critics have drawn comparisons to the late Soviet cult band Kino. Piggy Ride topped The Flow magazine's Top 50 chart for 2024.
