Gontrassek is a chamber vocal ensemble based at the Institute of Musicology of Charles University's Faculty of Arts, led by musicologist Jan Baťa. It specializes in music from the Bohemian lands of the 15th and 16th centuries, above all liturgical chants of the Hussites and Utraquists, performing directly from surviving period sources. In cooperation with the Hussite Museum in Tábor the ensemble has released recordings including Abychme hodně pamatovali - Zpěvy husitských Čech and Vstalť jest Kristus z mrtvých král, devoted to Utraquist Easter music.
The Gontrassek ensemble will perform an Easter concert in Veselí nad Lužnicí at the Weis House.
The ensemble accompanied with singing a holy mass for interpreters and translators in the Prague church of St. Peter on Poříčí.
At the traditional mass for interpreters and translators, English sacred music by William Byrd was performed by the ensemble on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of his death.
