Vladimír Svitáček (1921-2002) was a Czech film director, screenwriter and occasional actor. He co-founded the Laterna magika theatre and helped create the pioneering interactive Kinoautomat at Expo 67 in Montreal. His best-known acting role is Professor Kingsley in Jára Cimrman ležící, spící (1983); despite being effectively blacklisted at the time, he also played Pope Clement XIV in Forman's Amadeus.
