Van Helsing is a 2004 American action-horror film written and directed by Stephen Sommers. Hugh Jackman plays monster hunter Gabriel Van Helsing, sent to Transylvania to help the Valerious family defeat Count Dracula. The film draws on classic Universal monsters - Dracula, Frankenstein's creature and the Wolfman - and wraps them in a big-budget action spectacle.
