Valentin Strykalo is a Ukrainian indie rock band from Zaporizhzhia, founded in 2010 by singer-guitarist Yuriy Kaplan. It grew out of a series of comic video messages to post-Soviet pop stars, delivered in character as a bumbling village lad called "Valentin Strykalo from the village of Buriltsevo." The debut album "Smiris' i rasslab'sia" came out in 2012, and the song "Nashe leto" later appeared on the soundtrack of Boris Khlebnikov's film Arrhythmia (2017).
