Václav Kopta (born 21 June 1965 in Prague) is a Czech actor, musician, lyricist and TV host from an artistic family - his father Pavel Kopta was a lyricist, his grandfather Josef Kopta a poet and translator. He became widely known for playing Radek Převrátil in the cult comedy Sněženky a machři (1983) and spent 33 years as a permanent member of the Semafor theatre. As a lyricist he has written for artists including Hana Zagorová, Marta Kubišová and Karel Gott, and in 2022 he won the ninth season of the TV Nova celebrity singing show Tvoje tvář má známý hlas.
Václav Kopta moderates the fourth season of the show Peče celá země on Czech Television, which started on January 3, 2026.
Kopta appeared at Trmice Castle in November 2025 as part of his talk show tour.
In February 2025, Kopta became the target of a prank by friends Ondřej Sokol and Aleš Háma for the new entertainment show Hodně štěstí! on TV Nova.
