Václav Janů

About

Václav Janů is a Czech jazz guitarist who studied at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. After early years in rock and metal bands, he settled into the Czech swing scene and now plays in Prague Rhythm Kings, VorazBand, Swing Melody and Sunny Swing Orchestra - serving as the sole harmonic instrument in Swing Melody. His musical focus is early jazz, blues and fingerstyle guitar; he also teaches classical and electric guitar at the ZUŠ Vlašim music school.
