The Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes (ÚSTR) is a Czech state institution established in 2007, dedicated to researching and documenting the Nazi and Communist totalitarian periods in Czechoslovakia. It administers the archives of the secret police (StB) and produces scholarly publications and travelling exhibitions on modern Czech history.
