Tony Goldwyn (born May 20, 1960, in Los Angeles) is an American actor, director, producer, and political activist - grandson of MGM founder Samuel Goldwyn. He broke through as the villain Carl Bruner in Ghost (1990), then spent seven seasons as President Fitzgerald Grant on ABC's Scandal (2012-2018). Since 2024 he has played Manhattan District Attorney Nicholas Baxter on Law & Order, while continuing to direct for stage and screen.
Goldwyn as a director participates in the off-Broadway musical A Walk on the Moon, which has been playing at the Laura Pels Theatre since June 2026 - an adaptation of his own 1999 film.
