Tomokazu Miura (born January 28, 1952 in Yamanashi, Japan) is a Japanese actor and former singer. He rose to fame in the 1970s alongside actress Momoe Yamaguchi - the pair were dubbed the "Golden Combi" - whom he married in 1980. After her retirement from show business, Miura reinvented himself in character roles and is now one of Japan's most respected film actors, appearing in Wim Wenders' Perfect Days (2023) and the Cannes Un Certain Regard selection Tôi yamanamino hikari (2025).
Miura plays the role of Kuraki Tatsura in the film Hakucho to Komori (Swan and Bat) based on the novel by Keigo Higashino, which will be released in Japanese cinemas on September 4, 2026.
Miura will also appear in the film Aishiatterukai? Kiyoshiro Imawano ga oshiete kureta, with its premiere scheduled for October 2, 2026.
The film Tôi yamanamino hikari (Distant Hills), in which Miura stars, was shown in the Un Certain Regard section at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
The Japanese government awarded Miura the Order of the Rising Sun, 5th Class (Kyokujitsu Shojusho) as part of the 2023 autumn honors.
Miura appeared in the film Perfect Days directed by Wim Wenders, which competed for the Palme d'Or at Cannes and earned over 26 million dollars worldwide.
