Tommy Lee Jones (born September 15, 1946, in San Saba, Texas) is an American actor and director with a career spanning more than five decades. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Fugitive (1993) and received three further Oscar nominations, for JFK, In the Valley of Elah, and Lincoln. Global audiences know him as Agent K in the Men in Black franchise and as the weary Texas sheriff Ed Tom Bell in No Country for Old Men (2007). He has also directed features, including The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which won him the Best Actor prize at Cannes.
