Tomáš Novotný (born 1985, Šternberk) is a Czech actor and musical theatre performer who trained in musical acting at JAMU in Brno (graduating 2008). He has worked with the Brno City Theatre, the Prague City Theatres and is a regular guest at Divadlo Semafor; his longest-running collaboration is with the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, where he also serves as a dramaturg for the musical ensemble. Together with Lukáš Udržal and Ladislav Marek he co-founded Divadlo Tří in Pardubice, a company specialising in absurdist and dark-humour one-acts, and he translates international musicals into Czech. In the Křinec region he helped establish the civic association Kultura pro Křinecko and co-initiated the Zámecké léto v Křinci festival.
The production of Mamma Mia! at the National Theatre of Moravian-Silesia, in which Novotný plays Harry Bright, won the Amber Award in the musical category.
Tomáš Novotný participated in February 2026 in a session of the municipal council of Křinec as a council member.
The Zámecké léto festival in Křinec on 22-23 August 2025 took place in its fourth edition; Novotný stands behind it as co-founder and organizer of the gastronomic section.
In April 2025, the musical Mamma Mia! premiered at NDM, where Novotný played the role of Harry Bright; all season performances were sold out.
In January 2024, the production Poslední štace premiered at the Semafor Theatre, in which Novotný performed.
