About

Tomáš Linka (born 6 February 1946, Prague) is a Czech country singer, harmonica player and lyricist who spent key years in Greenhorns (1970-1974) and Fešáci (1974-1984, 1994-present), the two bands that defined Czech country music. Alongside Michal Tučný he is widely regarded as the most important figure the genre has produced in the Czech lands. Since 1999 he has led his own backing band Přímá linka, and despite a serious hearing impairment in one ear he remains one of the most active performers on the scene.
