Tim Holt (February 5, 1919 - February 15, 1973) was an American actor who became one of Hollywood's leading B-western stars, making forty-six films for RKO Pictures during the 1940s and early 1950s. The son of silent-era cowboy star Jack Holt, he grew up on film sets and made his screen debut as a child. Beyond his RKO westerns, he earned lasting recognition for his dramatic work in Orson Welles' The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) and alongside Humphrey Bogart in John Huston's The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948). During World War II he served as a B-29 bombardier in the Pacific, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Purple Heart.
