Tim Allen (born Timothy Alan Dick, June 13, 1953) is an American actor and stand-up comedian. He rose to fame as Tim Taylor on the ABC sitcom Home Improvement (1991-1999), winning a Golden Globe for the role, and has voiced Buzz Lightyear across the entire Toy Story franchise since 1995. He also played Santa Claus in The Santa Clause film trilogy and the Disney+ series, and since 2025 stars in the new ABC sitcom Shifting Gears.
