Til Schweiger (born 19 December 1963 in Freiburg) is a German actor, director and producer who broke through in the 1990s with films like Manta, Manta and Knockin' on Heaven's Door. He gained international recognition playing Sergeant Hugo Stiglitz in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009). As a filmmaker, his comedies Keinohrhasen (2007) and Honig im Kopf (2014) rank among the highest-grossing German films ever made. Since 2026 he has shifted focus toward English-language international productions.
