About

Tiësto (born Tijs Michiel Verwest, 1969) is a Dutch DJ and record producer who was among the defining figures of trance music in the 1990s and 2000s. He became the first DJ to perform at an Olympic opening ceremony, playing Athens 2004, and has since moved into mainstream dance-pop, winning a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording. Mix magazine's fan poll named him the Greatest DJ of All Time. In late 2025 he announced a return to trance with the single 'Bring Me To Life', ahead of a new album due in 2026.
