The Zawose Queens are a Tanzanian female ensemble from the Zawose musical family, known for powerful vocal harmonies, polyrhythms, and the ringing tones of the ilimba thumb piano. Their debut album Maisha (2024), released on Peter Gabriel's Real World label, brought them to stages at Glastonbury, WOMAD, and WOMEX.
