The Temperance Movement are a British blues-rock band formed in 2011 between Glasgow and London. All three of their studio albums - the self-titled debut (2013), White Bear (2016) and A Deeper Cut (2018) - reached the UK Top 20, with A Deeper Cut peaking at number six. The band built a reputation for explosive live shows, including support slots for the Rolling Stones and Deep Purple. After a five-year hiatus they returned in 2025 with their original lineup, and in 2026 announced their fourth album, New Promise Land Incorporated.
The band announced their fourth studio album New Promise Land Incorporated, which is released on October 9, 2026 on Earache Records - the first new material in eight years, recorded live to tape with producer Ethan Johnson.
As the first single from the new album, the band released the track 'Eat You Alive'.
The Temperance Movement announced a 21-date autumn tour Let It All Out across Europe and Great Britain, which starts on October 28 in Sweden and ends on December 1 at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town.
The comeback tour in 2025 saw sold-out shows - some tickets disappeared in less than 60 seconds - and the band had to add dates and move to larger venues.
In December 2024, the band announced a reunion with frontman Phil Campbell and announced their first tour after a five-year hiatus.
