Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are an Australian rock band formed by Nick Cave in 1983 following the breakup of The Birthday Party. Over four decades they have released 18 studio albums, building a reputation as one of the most original bands to emerge from the post-punk era - their sound ranges from dark gothic rock and blues to orchestral ambient textures. Frontman Cave is also a novelist, screenwriter and film composer whose work extends well beyond rock music.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds launched their European summer tour 2026, which includes over 25 stops including a performance at Metronome Prague on June 20.
Nick Cave received an honorary doctorate from Royal College of Art in London, conferred by Chancellor Sir Jony Ive at a ceremony in Royal Festival Hall.
The band completed their first North American tour since 2018 in support of the album Wild God, with dates from April to May 2025.
The 18th studio album Wild God was released, which received two Grammy nominations (Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance).
The band performed their first Australia-New Zealand tour in nine years, with concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Wellington.
