Tess Liu, also known as Tess Du Cray, is a Chinese actress born in 1979 in Shandong province. She came to acting relatively late - after studying in Los Angeles, she returned to Beijing to build a film career. Her first screen role was in The Karate Kid (2010), produced by Will Smith and directed by Harald Zwart. She has since appeared in independent features and shorts, working mainly with Western directors on international co-productions.
