Terry Gilliam is an American animator, director and comedian, best known as the only American member of Monty Python. He created the group's distinctive cut-out animations for Monty Python's Flying Circus and co-directed Monty Python and the Holy Grail. As a solo filmmaker he made Brazil and Twelve Monkeys.
