About

Telegraf is a Czech rock band from Tatce in the Kolín district, active since 1976 - originally under the name Elastic, which they had to change at the insistence of the communist-era cultural commission. Singer and guitarist Petr Bašus has led the band from the very start. Despite operating entirely as amateurs, they have built a loyal following across Bohemia over nearly five decades. Their setlist mixes original songs with rock cover versions; in 2017 they marked their 40th anniversary with a commemorative book.
