About
Sydney Pollack was an American film director, producer and occasional actor, active from the 1960s until his death in 2008. He directed films such as Tootsie and Three Days of the Condor, and won the Academy Award for Best Director for Out of Africa (1985). The Interpreter (2005), a political thriller with Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn, was among his final features.
