Swing Melody is a Czech jazz orchestra founded in 2010 by students of the ZUŠ Ostrov music school. The ensemble focuses on the swing era of the 1930s and 40s, covering American classics by Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman alongside Czech songs from the repertoire of R. A. Dvorský and Karel Vlach. Members play on period instruments and original sheet music to keep the sound authentic. The group is led by trumpeter and vocalist Jan Veverka.
