Stud Ford is an American blues guitarist and singer from Mississippi, grandson of hill country blues legend T-Model Ford. He grew up steeped in the style, performing in juke joints long before most of his peers knew what a backbeat was. His music is raw, riff-driven Mississippi hill country blues - repetitive, hypnotic, built on groove rather than flashy solos. After his grandfather's death he carried the family tradition forward, touring with Lightnin Malcolm and connecting with the North Mississippi Allstars.
