Stephanie Hsu is an American actress and singer of Chinese descent, born in 1990 in Torrance, California. She broke through internationally with her dual role as Joy Wang / Jobu Tupaki in Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she built her foundation in experimental theatre before originating roles on Broadway, including Christine Canigula in Be More Chill. In 2026 she received her first Tony Award nomination for playing Janet Weiss in the Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show.
