Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. (born October 20, 1971, in Long Beach, California), known worldwide as Snoop Dogg, is an American rapper, producer and actor with a career spanning more than three decades. His debut album Doggystyle (1993), produced by Dr. Dre, instantly established him as a defining voice of West Coast hip-hop and G-funk - a status he has never relinquished. Beyond music, he owns Death Row Records and runs a wide-ranging media and business empire; in 2024 he served as a special correspondent for NBC at the Paris Olympics.
