Sjón is an Icelandic novelist, poet, and lyricist, born in 1962 in Reykjavík. He is known for poetic, surrealist novels drawing on Icelandic mythology and folklore, including The Blue Fox. He has also gained wide recognition as a lyricist through his long-standing collaboration with the musician Björk.
