Silent Planet is an American metalcore band from Los Angeles, formed in 2009 and named after C. S. Lewis' science-fiction novel. Frontman Garrett Russell writes lyrically dense material touching on mental health, social justice and existential themes, while the music shifts between atmospheric post-rock passages and full-force metalcore. Their fifth studio album, SUPERBLOOM, came out in November 2023 on Solid State Records.
Silent Planet announced a fall North American tour "Bloom In Heaven Part II" with Invent Animate, starting September 21, 2025 in Richmond and ending October 24 in Charlotte.
Silent Planet released a collaborative three-track EP Bloom In Heaven with the band Invent Animate.
The band performed a European headliner tour Superbloom Tour with Like Moths to Flames, Vexed and Avoid - a total of 21 cities.
Silent Planet released the single "Mindframe" with a music video - the first new material from the album SUPERBLOOM (2023).
The fifth studio album SUPERBLOOM was released on Solid State Records, produced by Daniel Braunstein.
