ShitKid is the project of Swedish singer-songwriter Åsa Söderqvist, who grew up in northern Sweden and relocated to Gothenburg. Since her debut EP in 2016 on Stockholm's PNKSLM Recordings, she has released deliberately raw recordings that move between indie rock, lo-fi pop and garage punk. She abruptly ended the project in 2020, then returned in 2026 - marking ten years of ShitKid - with a two-part compilation called The Essential and a sold-out European tour.
ShitKid released the second part of the compilation The Essential (Vol. 2) on PNKSLM Recordings, focusing on the more balladic and experimental side of her work.
ShitKid returned to the stage after a six-year break - the spring tour dates in London, Berlin, Paris and Stockholm sold out.
