Shinedown is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, founded in 2001 by vocalist Brent Smith. The current lineup - Smith, guitarist Zach Myers, bassist/producer Eric Bass, and drummer Barry Kerch - holds the all-time record for most No. 1 singles on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, with 21 chart-toppers. Their eighth studio album, EI8HT, was released in May 2026 via Atlantic Records.

In February 2026, the band announced a world tour Dance, Kid, Dance Act II featuring 54 shows in 11 countries, including European dates in November 2026.
In November 2025, Shinedown made their debut at Grand Ole Opry and released the single 'Searchlight', which moved closer to country rock in genre.
The single 'Killing Fields' released in July 2025 reached number one on the Active Rock chart, extending the band's record for number-one hits.
In January 2025, Shinedown released the double single 'Three Six Five' / 'Dance, Kid, Dance', with 'Dance, Kid, Dance' becoming their 20th number one on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
