Shawn Mathis Wayans (born January 19, 1971, in New York City) is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and DJ. He rose to prominence on the sketch comedy series In Living Color (1990-1993) and co-created the sitcom The Wayans Bros. (1995-1999) with his brother Marlon. As co-writer and star of Scary Movie (2000), White Chicks (2004), and several other hit comedies, he helped shape a generation of Hollywood parody films; in 2025 the entire Wayans family was inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame.
The film Scary Movie 6, on which Shawn Wayans worked as an actor, screenwriter, and producer, had its premiere on June 3, 2026 in Los Angeles and was released in theaters on June 5, 2026.
Shawn Wayans confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that a sequel to White Chicks 2 is real if Scary Movie 6 is successful in theaters.
