The Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic is the upper house of the Czech bicameral parliament, established by the 1993 Constitution and first convened in 1996. It sits in the Wallenstein Palace in Prague and consists of 81 senators elected for six-year terms. The Senate reviews legislation passed by the Chamber of Deputies and plays a role in electing certain constitutional officials.
